Welcome to Ms. Goshorn's Class!
I am excited to be teaching AP Physics C and AP Physics 1 this year at Vandegrift High School. Please use the links at the top of the page to access your course syllabus, calendar, and files. Please contact me via email when you have questions or concerns.
The study of physics and engineering can be very challenging, but it is also very rewarding. I hope that every student this year will learn to:
- Work in groups successfully.
- Evaluate your individual learning on a daily basis and ask for help when necessary.
- Defend your ideas and consider the ideas of others.
- Organize and present a coherent solution to a problem.
- Assess a situation and determine the appropriate behavior.
- Use feedback as a learning tool.
- Isolate the underlying physics and engineering concepts in the world around you.
Even if you never plan to use physics or engineeiring again after my course, many of the things we will do in class will help you succeed in life after high school.
